Photographer's Note
This is the original Wharf House - built circa 1777. It would have originally been a home for the builders of the Oxford canal, - It has had a fascinating history in that it was part of the original toll gate (out of the picture); a school, and a home. Today for the first time it is privately owned ( after 234 years) and while it is a residential home - it also serves as a BnB in the village.
The tree on the left is a crab apple and will soon be ready for picking and making Crab apple Jelly- the flowers on the Right are sun flowers..

Hello Rich,
a very nice one, in rich natural colours. I like the high definition in the shot with every tiny detail sharp and visible, the atmosphere of the country yard, with shining sun flowers in the foreground that add joyful colour on the cloudy day.
Best regards
R.

Hello Richard ,
A fine perspecive on this typical bricked house . Like the light management despite of the grey weather , and the sun flowers that seem to dance in front of the house .

Hi Rich,
Love the brickwork of this house framed by the crab apple tree and the sunflowers. Crab apples are not fun when they fall and cover the lawn - we know!
Excellent excposure and level of sharpness.
Best wishes, Ann

Hello Rich,
I like how you have framed the shot making good use of the sunflowers. They make a great contrast with the brickwork that is nicely detailed and has very good colours.

Bonjour Richard,
Daniel.

Hi Richard
I think the sunflowers caught my eye ( probably because looking out the window this morning mine had been beaten to the ground by heavy rain and high winds.)But I still like your photo as a whole
Best Wishes
