Photographer's Note
Chester,
The 'East Gate' clock in Chester is most likely one of the most photographed clocks in the U.K. after Big Ben in London. Yet, not being a tourist, I'd scorned taking a picture of it.
Instead of taking a distance view like most, I decided to get right under it. This Victorian clock is certainly a great piece of work. It's great being a tourist!
It does lie on a rebuild of the old medieval gate.
Not been to Chester!

Hello Peter,
This should have been a facinating photo, as I remember the place from 8/1993.
I think this pic. better been taken 5 or 6 meters backwards, and should be leveled . Also backlight is effecting the scene: I decided to post a WS - check it out.
