Hawarden Castle Estate,
Down in the woods of the above estate lies the old estate water-mill.
Another of those failures. In respect that for years it has been talked about conserving the ruins. But nothing has been done. Much of the old sluices remain, also a large chimney in good condition.
The estate also boasts the 'New Castle', and the old castle ruins. I will post another interesting feature shortly, though not on the estate as such.
William Gladstone, also lived here. And his lovely library is open to the public for study.
