This is the Forth Bridge, few weeks ago I posted the modern bridges crossing the Firth Of Forth. This as the first bridge with 2,467 meters, and 110 meters high, opened in 1890. This is a real sky !!!

Essa é a Ponte do Forth, algumas semanas atrás eu postei uma foto com as pontes mais novas. Essa ponte é a mais antiga, inaugurada em 1890, possui 2.467 metros de extensão e uma altura de 110 metros. Esse céu é de verdade!!

Hello Jorge,
Why do you call the bridge a "lady". Is it because she is wearing red, or because she is so curvy? ;-) A nice photo anyway. After 128 years the bridge is still very elegant. The almost clear sky, with just a few nicely shaped clouds, helps to make this such an appealing view. The dark rocks fill the foreground well.

the Forth bridge is the eye catching of the scene,as connecting the two banks of the river.Its reddish colour contrast perfect with the other colours of the photo.

yes, this is the spot which I would really like to visit. I like bridges and this may be one of the most interesting ones in the world. Again you were so lucky here with the sky and light.

What a magnificent bridge to be constructed in those days, that is a lot of trains that pass by daily. It makes an interesting contrast - the massive result of technology above and the marshy scene below. Excellent shot, Congrats

this is for sure one of my regrets...not stopping to capture this photogenic bridge. you couldn't have asked for a better set of conditions, the red contrasting the blues, and the large expansive cloud formations. beautiful views
