Photographer's Note
There are many interesting buildings in Edinburgh and this is one of I liked more. There are lots of sculptures in its façade, it was created at 19th century as a big shop and the owner wanted to pay homage to his more important costumers: the women. I guess we can see Joan D'arc here.

Existem muitos edifícios bonitos na cidade de Edimburgo, mas esse é um dos que eu mais gostei. Foi feito no século 19 e era uma espécie de grande loja. O dono ergueu o prédio e exigiu que colocassem apenas estátuas de mulheres na fachada para homenagear aquelas que eram suas maiores clientes, a mulheres.Creio que aparece Joana D'Arc no lado esquerdo.

Nice b&w capture from Edinburgh, taken with good pov and sharpness. Almost nill distortion.
It reminded me to the famous Caryatids of Athens.

Hello Jorge,
It is surprising to find so many statues like these in the shapes of women. They are beautiful works of art in any case and adorn the building very nicely. It's a well composed and nicely cropped photo, but maybe slightly stronger contrasts could have done well.
