Photographer's Note
This is the Palace of Holyrood House, it is the place where the queen stay while in Edinburgh. It is the place where Mary Stuart lived and where her second husband was killed by an explosion, where she get married with the main suspect of the assassinate for few days before to lost her throne, abandoning her baby.
How you can see the sun is present, but the rain too.
.....................................

Ola Jorge, Ah, again it rained in UK. You went in the wrong season. Excellent view of the Holyrood Palace. I like this monument in front of the castle. Near Edinburg, there is another castle where Maria Stuart was crowned - Stirling. Also interesting and important.
When I was there, the palace ground was closed for tourists because Charles and Camilla were there.
Kind regards MAlgo

Hello Jorge,
A great photo of the wonderful palace in a great sunlight, which makes the wet pavement reflect the surroundings beautifully. The blue sky is a great background for the warmer tones of the walls.

Hello Jorge,
A fine photo where the wet asfalt helps to brighten the view. The photo would not have had the same effect if the ground had been dry. But you had enough sun for a very good light on the façade. It's an impressive building with a dramatic past.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Jorge,
I smiled when I read this for you seem to have had a constant battle with the rain! So, even on a sunny day, the rain puts in an appearance!
Holyrood House is a most imposing building and, as you have noted, is full of historical intrigue! If only the walls could speak!!!
Your photograph is sharply exposed and has captured the mood of this unusual weather!
Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Jorge,
Amicalement

Hi Jorge,
The wet pavements provide splendid reflections of a rare blue sky. Good sharpness and the people provide scale and animate the scene. The crown shaped fountain at right adds a focal point. Tfs!

Hi Jorge,
as long as there is a great light like this one the wet pavement only adds the lovely touch. The problem is if there is only rain all the time and the light is dull, and this is probably the case most of the year in this nice town.
Great light here. When I arrived there the gate was locked so I could only take a photo through the locked gate.
Lovely turrets.
Very well done,
M

Hi Jorge
ah, this one brings back memories for me. Its where Bev and John took me during a TE Meeting :)
the best lighting is often right before or after a rain fall, and we can see that easily here. what can I say? beautiful soft warm lighting, hint of reflections on the pavement, and the architecture is A+ all the way. love the pov too
cheers

Hola Jorge.
