Photographer's Note
Thomas Cochrane (1775-1860) was a noble who fought in the navy against Napoleon, was elected member of parliament and expelled because corruption. After that he accepted to command the new navy of Chile and put Peru free. But he had troubles with the "friends" and accepted the invitation of the first emperor of Brazil, Pedro I, to be the leader of the Brazilian navy, putting Portuguese navy out. He tried to help Greece to get its independence but he failed. He came back to UK and the kind gave him the pardon.
Here we have two medals that were gave by Brazilian Emperor Pedro I to Cochrane, it is the highest of Brazil, Order of Southern-Cross. Here, National Museum Scotland.

Bonjour, cher Jorge,
Ces médailles désignent une très haute distinction (un peu à l'instar de la légion d'honneur en France);
La beauté des objets est manifeste.
Amitiés.

Ola Jorge,
the two Brazilian metals in the honour of Cochrane are well presented with the name of him to not be so good in Greece.
I like the clarity as the details of them.
Regards,Danos

Hello Jorge,
At first glance I thought of Maltese crosses but these ones have 5 arms, not 4. Good close up shot with perfect sharpness and dof, and an interesting note. Tfs!
