Photographer's Note
Went on a very enjoyable 4 days photography in the Scottish Highlands.Amazing scenery in the whole area, could have stayed for a month. Got up at 5 on the first day hoping to get some nice light. This was taken as the early morning sun lights up Buachaille Etive Mor.
twenty minutes before this the mountain couldnt be seen as it was covered in mist.
thanks for looking :)
Gary

Wow! This is amazing Gary!
I'm a sucker for running water shots, not only have you managed that, but along with a great mountain shot to accompany it! There are a certain few photographers I hold in very high regard such as Adam Burton and Darwin Wiggett... and now Gary McParland.
Well done mate,
- Dan

Hello Gary,
A magnificent shot, the slow shutter speed helping to produce extraordinary definition, and color fidelity, and the blurred view of the water itself, instead of slowing the motion, appears to speed it up. In movies, as you must know, frequently the suggestion of great speed is created by a dramatic slowing down in the frequency of the frames. All in all, a spectacular effect. I want to visit again tomorrow to see some of your other images.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hello Gary,
A beautiful landscape adorned with all the ingredients - a stream of running water, trees, grass, a mountain etc.
Nice warm lighting and a well focused capture.
A clean presentation in an adequate frame.
Well done.
Regard.

Hello Gary.
Worth getting up for.
I thought it must have been a CPL until I saw the ND filter beside the camera info. The golden light and the cloudshadows on the mountain are superb. The 'milkiness' of the water is about right - I don't go for it as a rule. The sky is awesome, although the effect of the ND is clearly demarcated on the trees. About your vantage point and composition I can make no criticism - excellent. The effect of the whole is brilliant. Well done.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Gary,
Your effort sure has paid off for getting up so early.
The ND grad to blur the water is just perfect and the light is stunning.

Hi Gary,
We had not seen this incredible mountain on TE for a long time ! But it was worth it, this picture is a wonderful one. The point of view is great with the river in the foreground leading us to the mountain. Light is absolutely fantastic and the dramatic sky creates a great atmosphere. TFS.
