I was in a dilemma about which of these 2 photos to have as the main one. One with cottages of one with sheep. In the end I've gone with the order in which they were taken.
Elgol is a small isolated village on the south coast of Skye. It is the jumping off spot for the Cuillins , Skye's most rugged mountain area. The road out is very picturesque much of it beside Loch Slapin and overshadowed by mountains. It is a very pleasant drive with hardly any traffic.
So - these 2 photos are beside the Loch, the main with cottages and the WS with sheep.

Pozdrav.
Lep pogled i trenutak, dobar tekst ...

Hello Ian
A good view of this beautiful landscape. I like that. Clarity and exposure are as good as ever. The workshop photo is just as good as the original photo. Thanks for sharing

Hello Ian,
Two excellent pictures.
Because of the composition, the light and the colours I have a slight preference for your main photo.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Ian,
Both photos are beautiful. I like them much more then the previous photos you showed from Scotland. Here we have plenty of sunshine but also presence of the lakes and relatively high mountains. You have also composed the scenes nicely. Both the farm and the sheep add nice touch to the scenes.
I like the vibrant colors here. If the light was in Scotland always like that -I would be there a lot :)
Excellent work,
M

Hello Ian,
Hard choice between these two. Sheep are generally nicer than buildings, but the hills in this photo are a bit more attractively shaped, and the large shady area is eye-catching.
Best regards,

Hi Ian,
Looking at the thumbail, it is wow.The point of view is showing the details of the houses and of the mountains. The quality of the light beautifies the colors. Have a nice day.

Frankly, Ian, I tend to like the WS post much better.
It is more vivid in texture. Anyway, both are marvelous Scottish highland's unusual bright day sceneries.
Good night from Israel,

Hello Ian,
I can understand your dilemma, each of the photographs has such beauty, such charm, with a fine composition and exposure.
I don't think anyone would grumble which you had chosen first, as we can all see the pair.
My warm regards,
Bev ;-)

Hi Ian,
Brilliant sunshine makes this look great. No doubt this would by quite impressive on a grey day too. This region is obviously quite sparsely populated. That house seems to be hiding next to the water's edge. That cone shaped mountain makes a great background.

Hi Ian,it's a big problem, because the most part of member takes a watch only to the main pic as we know..ehehe..i agree for your choice,it's the first time for cottages in this series, while you had already show a lot of sheep..ehehe...well done! Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Ian
A great scene with the perfectly triangular mountain, the sweeping beach, the houses...and the clouds on the slope making a great presence.

Hello Ian, I prefer the blackfaced sheep to the cottage, but both pictures are nice. Here the regularly shaped mountain is more interesting.

A fantastic Scottish landscape with good sharpness and reminiscent of Cradle mountain and Dove lake in Tassie. Tfs!

Hello Ian,
I like the shadow of the cloud in the main entry. The WS photo is cuter, but the third sheep on the right whose rear end has been cropped introduces a flaw in composition to that photo. Given what you got, removing the third sheep would have improved the composition. In that case, that photo would have been my choice for the main entry.
Regards,
MT
