Photographer's Note
This Canon is stood outside Ludlow castle to protect it from it's enemies, however I don't think it would do much these days.

Hi Wilson,
when I see such "big bangs" I think of much older times: everything was so different then, from the technical point of view... but people's nature still is the same: they look for hypothetical or have real enemies; they fight wars... human nature has not changed at all!
Interesting photo.
best wishes,
have a nice Sunday!

Hello Wilson,
Thank you for taking a cunning portrait of me! Actually, I think this weapon could probably still do quite a bit of damage: a gun like this could fire a 25lb shot almost two miles and woe betide anyone or anthing that got in the way of that!
A fine "shot" (pardon the pun) of this old cannon which stood beside the gates of Ludlow Castle - good too that you managed a picture without children climbing all over it. Fine simple and symmetrical conposition, good colours and good sharpness.
Lovely!
Kind Regards,
John.
P.S. Did you get my email?

Hello Wilson,
You took this canon out of a very good angle, indeed I think the same about the quality of the canon today.
Also the background is very lovely of color.
Nice composition, good captured.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice Sunday,
John.

Hello Wilson,
You did well to photograph this without the presence of children! I waited patiently but could only capture it with two children astride!
You have chosen a most original angle, giving the cannon a very vertical appearance; (something we can't say about our other cannon!) I like how you have managed to set the barrel against the unobtrusive sky.
The details are sharp and interesting, and the colours well saturated.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Wilson,
nice the view as the presentation of the canon that stand outside the Ludlow castle and coming from older eras.
The vertical format adds perspective in the scene.
Have a good week,Danos

Hi dear Wilson
So poweful and impressive image, the legacy from the Great Britain imperial. Perfect cropped vertical framework, great sharp and clear presentation with vivid color contrast. The thick color touch is also tasteful. Thanks for your sharing with good work and have a good start of new week! Best regards,

Hi Wilson, now it would be only akward to use it but it might play a strong symbolic role though ;-) It's a very nice take on this vintage canon. The widish aperature was a good choice - an appealing shot!
Best regards,

Hi Wilson
I'm enjoying the photos from your Meeting so much. This close up is very good, with great light management, particularly with respect to the underside of the canon. Would have been a great shot with John (tyro) next to it: Two Ancient Canons hahahahaha. Thanks for sharing, have a great

Superba presentazione, nel contesto e nella tradizione .

Hello Wilson. Spontaneously, I would say Fire. Big Bang is a good title for this huge gun. Now it is a relic of the past. It commemorates the time when the gun was used. Rgds, Wolfgang.

A really nice picture of this old cannon or perhaps I should say: "A really good shot with your Canon camera" Although you seem to have been pretty close when you took this picture the depth is impressive. You POV is also the very best. At least for me it is hard to imagine that there could be a lot better one. TFS and have a nice Sunday evening!
Kind regards,
Ulf
