Photographer's Note
We had another wonderful day today, full of sunshine and without wind. We have the right to go out to exercise although supposedly in Wales police was stopping people today on the way to the beach asking whether their trip is essential. Well, ask your Prime Minister to be specific, what is a reasonable distance to go out to exercise. I have indeed managed to avoid crowds this weekend. Staithes was quite desolated today while crowds poured to Saltburn where I have been yesterday.
You have seen the village of Staithes (pronounced like “states”) on TrekEarth before. It was one of the first places I wanted to visit when I moved to this area. It feels here as if nothing has changed since its most famous resident, Captain James Cook, has worked here as a grocer's apprentice (1745–46). Supposedly it was here where he developed his passion for the sea and then he moved to the nearby Whitby to join the Royal Navy.

Ciao Mariusz, another wonderful day like me, waiting for the return of the cold. Excellent opportunity to go out and photograph. Also this time you have studied a very original composition like the previous one, with lots of red and ships in the background. Extraordinary details, you can clearly see the signs of the seagull guano on the roofs. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Mariusz,
I fear that the same problem occurs in all countries. Police officers are much stricter (or less strict) in one municipality than in another. Some citizens are fined for the smallest act. On other places some people don't respect the measures without consequence ...
A photo with a very attractive and strong red-blue contrast.
Very nice with both seagulls on the right.
I notice that they don't like to stay where they left their dirty package :)
Best regards, Paul

The cargo ship shown well despite the distance from shore, Mariusz, also the blue sea and sky gave excellent contyrast to the red bricks roof and chimney.
Two pigeons on top also had good view out to sea...
Have a nice new week,
Ike

Hello Mariusz,
You are so lucky to have such easy access to Staithes and Saltburn, jewels on the east coast of Yorkshire. (We are not allowed to travel beyond the parish, at the moment.)
This is a really well conceived composition, using the highly textured, rich, red-tiled roof to dominate the f/g and act as a guide to the ship out in the bay.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Interesting note, something else I have learnt.
We can't see the beach over the tiled rooks but I'll take your word that it was not busy. Here in the same, people flock to the busiest places along the coast and we have such a long stretch, just a few kilometres away and it's quiet. A crisp, photo with good contrast and colours

Hello Mariusz,
I hope the local Captain Cook monuments have not been vandalised as they have been in Australia. A tremendous warm cold color contrast between the red tiled roof and the bg blue sea and sky. Good sharpness and saturation too. The elongated ship adds a good focal point on the horizon. Tfs!

Your picture create nice depth and perspective with the boat on the sea.
Also the buildings roof are a nice addition.

Hello Mariusz,
A great combination of the houses in the foreground and the large ship far out at the calm waters of the North Sea. The bright orange roof adds a great colour contrast.

Lovely contrast between the modest roofs below and the big modern-looking ship above it. Great composition with excellent colour patterns and great light. The seagull echo the chimneys...and make a wonderful finishing touch here!
Top!
