Spring is turning to summer on the low ground.
In the distance silage has been gathered - but on the moors things look much the same until in August the heather blooms spectacularly for a short while.
Trough House is now used as a shooting party shelter. It has a claim to fame in that John Wesley preached here to a large crowd in the mid 1700s. His influence still persists with many of the local Dales having Methodist or Wesleyan Chapels.
The sun had just set, and colour was draining from the scene as the light faded.
