Photographer's Note
After a series of blue hour photos this is quite a change. It is a view from my window taken with a tele-lens. I may have mentioned that my house is located between a beautiful park and a modern sports village, which I never used by the way. Now one more possibility became available: the empty sports village hosts now a Covid-19 test centre, which I didn’t use neither.
I consciously avoid talking too much about the hot subject which is the recent pandemics because in a way I am too involved. “Those who know, they don’t speak and those who don’t know, they keep talking…” The one thing which is relevant on this forum is the question how the pandemics will affect the travel. For many people in the country, it is a matter of lost holidays on the beach. For me who lives abroad in a bad weather country, my very choice of lifestyle makes sense only if I can occasionally visit my family in my home country and go for holidays to enjoy the sun.
I don’t blame people in governments who make ridiculous decisions. They were not the smartest kids in the school. What worries me is that they got used to introducing lockdown restrictions as they see fit. As much as I always follow the rules, I find many of them quite ridiculous. To be clear, at the beginning I was very much for early and tight lockdown to limit the spread of the virus to shut it down like it was done with SARS or MERS. The government did the opposite. Now I think it is too late: there is no sense in tight restrictions anymore because the virus is already widely spread, and it will keep coming back in new variants like the flu virus does. And if so, what makes you think that the travel will ever be possible again?

Hello Mariusz,
The point of still taking measures is to spare the lives of a number of others, albeit in a kind of second-hand life.
I fear that travelling will only be possible for those who have little to fear for their own person and who care little about the virus being passed on to strangers. I certainly hope that I'm mistaken.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Mariusz,
This is a very stark photograph, bringing us to a halt, when we see it!
Perhaps with your knowledge, you have a pessimistic view. The vaccines will give us a certain amount of protection and like with the flu virus, we may need to have back-ups each year.
If humans cease to have 'Hope', life can become very depressive.
What has raised my spirit, during this most worrying time, is the kindness that has emerged. People offering to help neighbours, good deeds done for strangers and on a night when Red Nose Day was still operated, millions of pounds have been raised to help those in vulnerable positions.
If we had more of this sort of information highlighted in the media, even during lockdown, fewer people would be feeling depressed.
Have a good weekend
Bev :-)

Hi Mariusz,I hope your predictions are wrong and we will be able to travel again soon, even if in Italy the vaccinations continue very very slowly and I will be on the list in July if all goes well .... ehehe ... nice memory from your window, excellent zoom that has not lost details despite the distance. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Mariusz,
The good news is that all pandemics eventually end. The virus mutates to a harmless strain or enough people become immune or vaccinated. An excellent topical image with good sharpness and graphism. Tfs!

mariusz
the covid-19 testing hall is located few meters far from my store.
there is nothing special here, but you built an excellent compo. I liked the curve of the street and the contrast of the yellow against the black and , of course, it is a document from our times. excellent.
take care

Hello Mariusz,
Yeah, in the beginning of the pandemic, lock-downs made sense. Now it is time to hurry up and vaccinate the masses. I don't think people will be as patient with more lock-downs.
Regards,
MT
