Photographer's Note

I continue series of photos taken in the immediate vicinity of my house. The Grove is name of a street in Marton, which is part of Middlesbrough. I liked this stylish building but just when I took out my camera the lady arrived in this very spot and she took out her phone. I decided to include her in the foreground.

The building houses a nursery called “Tiny Turners”. On their website I found that it is a Grade Two listed building, which was built in 1850 as the Captain Cook Memorial School. The Grove encircles Stewart Park, a location where Captain Cook was born. This view is just across the street from the church in which Captain Cook was baptized and which I showed recently.
