Photographer's Note
Bakerloo tube to work - and seats always available - bonus! Bakerloo tubes are the older trains and have a real London feel (and smell!) to them. I took this with a slow shutter speed and then increased the contrast. I didn't use a tripod so its not that crisp.. Its a typical London shot though!

A great shot, a lovely composition .. The juxtaposition of those 3 colors, the yellow at the bottom, the red train and the blue sign is realreally nice;
The tilt works very well in that case.. Very nice image Rachel.

so what if you didn't have a tripod..
i like such slow shutter shots.. taken without tripods.
i have to say that your reflexes are extremely good. you caught the train in a very good position. the colours are really good too.
ok maybe i'm asking for too much here.. but something that you could try later.. is to capture a similr shot (without a tripod :)) but with somebody waiting on your side of the platform on the left side of the frame..
to add to the already dynamic feel to it.
take care

I definitely agree with Sohrab. the effect of the slow shutter is nice it emphasized the speed of the coming train. good color as wel.....rgds
