Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
Recently, I have been sharing views of the non-touristy areas of London and I continue in that area.
There has been a massive amount of development in the Battersea area of London and I was so impressed by the way that objects, instead of being discarded has been cleverly reused.
All along the Riverside Walk, I came across features that had obviously been parts of the industrial area, probably the power station. It was so reassuring, in this throw-away culture, that imagination was being employed to reuse the items so effectively.
Here, a seating area had been constructed and planted with flowers.
There were other features, too, which I will show as workshops but I chose this as my main post because its use was being demonstrated.
Enjoy your day, Bev :-)

Hi Beverley,
That's the good thing of renovating old industrial areas and turning them into new living areas. The visibility of the old elements.
Great one.
Thanks and regards,
Gerrit

Hello Bev,
Today's three photos are all very interesting. I love old buildings from the early industrial period that have been given new purposes in recent years. The architecture is often so beautiful. But obviously many objects from inside those factories had a great aesthetic value too, as these photos show. In a way WS #1 is the most interesting, and with the nicest colours, but it lacks the human participation and the view across the city, so for the main upload you made the right choice.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Bev,
Three excellent photographs, each one showing how some item from our industrial past has been put to good use in not only making London a more pleasant place to be, but also in helping to improve our natural environment.
All images of excellent technical quality and a good note.
Wonderful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Dear Beverley,
I would say please carry on with this series showing the non-tourist areas of London. As my stay in London was rather short, my visit was reduced to the tourist areas and missed places like this.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Bev,
C'est bien observé, l'objet réutilisé est bien mis en valeur ici, et c'est très intéressant de voir comment l'imagination des gens redonne vie à ces éléments anciens.
Bonne journée.

Hi Bev,your posts from this alternative and unknown London are really interesting. Today an "ecological" post that shows the reuse of metal parts to make planters or benches. Recycling is a very fashionable topic, and the fact that we have chosen flowers suitable for bees is also positive. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Bev,
I find again your "Additional Photograph 1" the most beautiful.
Also the most completely and best detail picture.
But your main picture I like through the nice panorama image.
An excellent sharpness and clarity
Very well done, TFS.
Kindest regards,
John.

Hello Beverley,
Reuse and renovation will be of vital importance in Europe in the near future.
I haven't seen elsewhere the examples you show on the three pictures.
At the same time, people are also confronted with the industrial heritage of the area.
You show us here an excellent new start.
Absolutely interesting pictures, all three!
On your first photo in the WS someone has been able to let off steam in full fantasy and with lots of colours.
Best regards, Paul

Imaginative thinking by the guys who taken an old piece of machinery-scrap and converted it to a useful element, Beverly.
Your choice from the backside, enable part of the river walk, bridge and across to the far side bank on the scene.
Good evening,
Ike

Hello Beverley, I particularly like this shot, as you have highlighted the recycling that it is being done, as well as giving us the distinctive London Skyline as your background.
The man is an essential element to the composition.
It is great to see that someone is using their imagination and recycling in this way.
I like the w/s shot of what I think must be a water 'tower' and the way that it has been utilised.
Regards Jean.

Hello Beverley,
A good photo of this old industrial part being reused as street furniture along the river bank. You included it very well in the foreground of the photo along with that gentleman. The background is a great view of London with many more modern towers and two of the best known landmarks.

Hi Bev
So nice to discover another face of London, far away from the well known tourist spots, with a link to what was this area years ago, a goos set of photographs.
Cheers

Hello Bev,
Three fantastic examples of how old industrial objects can be reused as modern street decorations.
The man could have looked a bit happier when he was allowed to sit on this beautiful flowery bank.
Excellent presentation.
Have a nice day, groet Rob

Beverley, good idea to have re used that industrial objects in rusty iron. It becomes a bench and a pot where flowers can be planted. The riverside walk offers stunning views on the bridge and the city. Excellent observation.

Ciao Bev
trovo molto interessante e utile questa condivisione, i vecchi elementi funzionano bene per i nuovi utilizzi e ricordano in ogni caso la loro storia.
Una scelta molto intelligente e pratica che dovrebbe essere eguagliata in ogni città.

Hi Bev
i really like that elevated garden idea, infact I like all these ideas. Not only is it useful but its also attractive.
industrial areas and industrial subjects make great pieces of art, clearly indicated on your shots. Funny, this one looks like a large toilet from this angle hahahaha.
cheers
