Photographer's Note
With 2012 drawing to a swift close, it is a year that will always live in British memories of what a glorious Olympics and Paralympics London staged. An Olympic morning in the very heart of the City with St Paul's Cathedral catching the morning sun as is the Millennium Bridge. In the foreground one of the colourful Olympic mascots named "Wenlock & Mandeville" that were placed at famous London landmarks as part of the London discovery trails.

Elements that transport us to London immediately like that modern footbridge, the waters fo the Thames and the Saint Paul's Cathedral dome, together with that colorful sculpture were all harmoniously placed together in a very attractive photograph!

Hello Brian,
J'aime beaucoup ce paysage urbain, la prise de vue dirige notre regard vers St. Paul Cathedral en arrière-plan ce qui donne de la profondeur à la photo. Très efficace cadrage sur le fameux Millennium Bridge dont les détails ressortent à merveille. Londres, tout simplement lovely!

A very good shot! I like your idea of gathering three important elements here: the cathedral, the bridge and the mascot. I like the composition and the great soft light. Seems the mascot is running and enjoying the view. The name of the city written on that blue wall in foreground is also a fine detail!

Hello Brian - Nicely framed shot and perfect light to show off the details of the Millennium Bridge. Again this super juxtaposition of old and new architecture. Is this Wenlock or Mandeville here in the shot? Strange but his sculptural lines seem to mimic aspects of the bridge. A great year for London and a good reminder of a city at its best. I like how it seems the mascot is joging by and looking/waving goodbye :)
this looks like a photogenic area of the city, i'd love to see this in person some day.
