Gaza protest - 10th January 2009
Taken during the protest in London last Saturday, as the conflict entered it's third week.
There's going to be another protest today - Stop Gaza Massacre: All London Rally. Trafalgar Square, 2pm.
You can see some more of my photos from the day here.

Morning Ben - can't make it today! But this is great! Full of animation. And I can tell you're right in the thick of it with the 28mm. The blurred arm creates a nice parallel with the message on the banner - Turkish & Kurdish community centre, there's a strange coincidence!
Lets hope todays rally is a peaceful one!
All the best, Roberto

Hi Ben,
Hahaha, seeing the reaction of Roberto I now see the similarity in your postings.
Well, the messacre should stop at both sides. The rain of thousands of Hamas rockets over the past years on Israeli civilians... If you call this war a massacre, I would call those attacks a chronic massacre as well.
An no one was protesting at that point. Saw no one on the streets when the rockets killed Israelis....
Nice work here with old school film and an F3-alike. Nice one!
Greetings!
Dennis

Hi Ben,
Good reportage shot, full of action & functional blur. I fully agree with your interpretation of event, as in your reply to Dennis. The Israeli reaction seems over the top and I'm afraid it will turn out to be sadly counterproductive as well. Killing can never be a solution, it's just a vicious circle, imho.
Have a good weekend.

Amazing photograph!
You're well in the middle of it and show what had to be shown! people protesting, the man with the microphone, and the banners. Exceptionally well done!
Those protests can only move masses if shown to the people. You make your full contribution! HAve it published somewhere!!
see you,
Marc

hello Ben,
good reportage shot. I would be there if I could.Good action blur,a very immediate picture.Listening to some commentators who call for " a peaceful Palestine and security for Israal " I feel that they have this the wrong way around. Weasel words when children day in UN establishments and human rights are violated.
