Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
Don't you think that winter trees have wonderful presence. Their branches become like expressive limbs.
In this shot, the tree seemed to be holding the clouds aloft whilst I captured its beauty and that of the late winter countryside.
The warmth of the sun reminded me that it was almost spring. In our village, the daffodils are flowering in profusion whilst the earnest bleating of newborn lambs makes a pleasing background melody. Yes. it's almost spring!

Bonjour Beverley,
une composition toute simple de campagne mais qui renferme tellement de qualités techniques, notamment sur le plan de l'exposition, le rendu des lumiières, la mise et point et ce rendu fabuleux d'un ciel séduisant.
Un cadrage bien pensé où rien n'est centré.

A beautiful bucolic scene with lovely soft colours of late winter, perfectly composed with the pair of gates inviting us to open them and travel onward across those beautiful rolling fields. A beautiful sky with lovely puffy white clouds which do indeed appear to be upheld by the strong limbs of that gorgeous tree.

J'aime beaucoup la construction de l'image. On voit que ce n'est pas un hasard. L'arbre est bien placé et semble ouvrir un rideau vers le paysage magnifique en arrière plan. La lumière est très belle.

hi beverley,
this is a very well spotted and well composed picture. the scene is a lovely glimpse of rural england. the stone walls and gates lead nicely across the frame. the tree as you say, holds the whole picture together as its branches reach the sky. the colours are very natural with the sun resting on the green fields. perfect depth of field and sharpness.

a very English view - attractive and enticing. This time of year is so great for getting sculptured shots of the magic shapes of trees, plus the lack of leaves enhances the light and makes everything so much more vsisible. This is a fine example of this and it is so perfectly executed. Beautiful!

Hello Bev - I was away at the weekend and can only think that is why I missed this wonderful rural view. You have captured the gentleness and promise of the spring landscape so wonderfully. Yes they do, especially the trees of the Northern Hemisphere which are so different to our one here (which are evergreen). This is such an idyllic rustic scene, beautifully composed, perfectly lit and saturated. Great shot, the tree naturally framing the left part of the image is especially attractive.
