Photographer's Note

When the sun is shining brightly it is quite a challenge when photographing in woodland to get the levels right. I hope that I have gone some way in being successful here.
Some parts of Dartmoor have woodland, and here we are walking close to the leat that carries fresh water from the moor down to the reservoir.
Initially the leat was built to carry fresh water down to the dockyard at Devonport, now a part of Plymouth.

Did you know that walking amongst trees is good for you?
"Take time out from the normal hectic pace of life to allow nature back in.
A form of natural aromatherapy that is freely available with no known side effects."
(Ray Mears from an article 'The power of trees' in the latest NT magazine.)
I like that idea, a good excuse if we needed one for walking in parks, woods and forests!

One more view in the w/s.

Thanks as always for looking.
