'A walk in the woods'.
Exploring Dartmoor, we discovered this woodland, full of moss covered trees and with some ancient oak trees.
Dartmoor National Park is a vast moorland in Devon, south west England.
Defined by its craggy landscape, forests, rivers, wetlands and tors (rock formations).
It was designated a National Park in 1951.
This shot shows a stream that is a leat, a man made channel built to transport water, either for providing power for local industries or to channel water for water supply towards reservoirs.

I like the reflections on the water giving it a metallic effect and contrasts very well with the greenery. Wish I was there now.

Hello Jean,
Very attractive woods but so different from the Nordic forests I am used to. They would usually be much darker and the trees would grow much more densely. I like how we see the path next to the 'leat' and what looks like a rather narrow bridge. The WS show us a very pleasant "soft" forest scenery.

Well, what a coincidence! We have both posted water which is connected with reservoirs!
This is a really beautiful view! The different green hues are a delight (in all your photographs) and will be quite a surprise to people who live in very hot countries!
You have designed a lovely composition, the leat appearing at the corner and making an excellent guide towards the trees. The stones, the ferns and the reflections on the water are all details which add impact to your photograph.

This looks like a very pleasant and cool place with cold water running down the narrow stream, just what I need in the current heatwave! The composition is very well balanced and I like the many bright shades of green.

Hello Jean,
I have a preference for both forest pictures in the WS.
Wonderful how the tree trunks and the many rocks are covered with mosses.
On the main photo I like the fern vegetation along the waterfront.
Splendid pictures of a peaceful nature, taken with good depth and composition.

Jean, the green undergrowth illustrates well that the vegetation growing in oceanic climate receives a lot of rain all over the year. Ferns and mosses grow on the rocks, the trunks. It is pleasant to walk along this channel. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.
