Some more pictures from our walk on Dartmoor.This lonely tree has somehow managed to grow and thrive on the moor, exposed to the winds that blow across the land. Approximately 800 feet above sea level.

On the far left you can just see the top of the quarries that I shared pictures of in "We are not on the moon."

As you can see the land retains water, so in some places it can get rather wet underfoot.
