Photographer's Note
Taken early morning in order to record its atmosphere: red carpet, lamps on the windows frame, a pint still on the table, the inside being just lit by the outside light.
ISO 2500 but almost no "noise", hand held camera
This means that I am going to leave you for 3 weeks to spend this time in Manchester, and maybe have some pints of beer! Cheers!!!

I like your photo of today. Different and experimental. It's what could be discribed as challenging light conditions. 2500iso. .. worked out brilliantly. Very thich British atmosphere. Indirect sources of light is an interesting phenomenon; reflexions in the wood works of the sealing,and under the tables and chairs... very nice indeed. The glass door is cool.
Have a good trip Manchester, go easy on the pints, lad :)

Bonjour Claude,
This must have been taken just after we arrived for breakfast one morning!
A remarkably clear and noise-free shot considering the very poor light and the high ISO which you had to use. I remember most of the days being pretty dull and the dull light coming in through the windows gives a lovely sheen to the surfaces of the tables and we can also see a remarkable amount of detail in the place too. That was a good pub though it got a bit noisy in the evenings!

I watched you take this shot I think. I can still smell the atmosphere stale beer and fried breakfast... we are so healthy! Enjoy Manchester... I will be in Liverpool visiting family in a few weeks time. So we will experience northern bad weather together!

Hello Claude. When I saw the thumbnail, I thought of a black and white photo. But now I see when opening the color. The strong contrasts can only imagine some. But the text complements everything.

I recognized this pub interior immediately! You have captured the rather gloomy atmosphere very well indeed. There is just enough colour to enliven the brown decoration a bit.
