Photographer's Note
The classic view of Wasdale Head - ruined by a cloud whiteout.
We travelled for three and a half hours by car from the North East Coast to carry out a fellwalk in the Wasdale Area of Cumbria.
Wasdale is not the sort of place that you get the chance to visit very often due to the remoteness of the valley, so to be greeted by overcast weather was a bit of a let-down, but not too much...it's better than being at work.
You have to see the place in the flesh to appreciate just how beautiful it is and you cannot let the weather spoil the chance to photograph such an iconic view.
The weather improved greatly during our walk, which took in two of the fells on show here.
In an attempt to improve the colour version I have converted to black & white and altered contrast slightly.

Hi Neil,
Classic shot of Wasdale Head looking great in B/W. Cropping works well here, true widescreen feel to the subject. Very Nice work, TFS
Kind Regards
Steve

Alreet Neil,
You're getting the hang of this B&W malarky. Beautiful and remote, just what the lakes is about. Nice Shot. Keep em coming.
Regards,
Gvin...
