Hello Bev,
It's no surprise to me that you composed this well. The curving diagonals of the road and the stone wall give the photo a pleasant rhythm, the white building is nicely placed towards the side and there is a good balance between the brownish upper part of the slope and the green lower part. The grey clouds placed themselves well without your efforts.

Hello Beverley, perfectly composed. The white building stands out so clearly.
The light seems to have highlighted the colour and shapes of the stones in the wall, and I love the way that it snakes round at the side of the road. I hope that there were passing places? It’s a very narrow road!
The dark and rather threatening sky completes this lovely scene.

dramatic sky-scene with the heavy clouds aloft, beverley, and yet - those gave a nice contrast to the valley in green and brown slopes.
Shining white painted house stand out remarkably.

Hi Bev,
You were there just on the right time. The sun still shines on that ancient stone wall, and dark clouds approach giving quite special ambience to this. Curve of the narrow road is just right for giving good perspective.

A beautiful landscape seen here underneath the dark grey clouds. The composition is excellent, the stone wall is well included in the foreground and the road makes an attractive curve leading nicely towards the white house, which stands out well from the hill.

Yes - magnificent in the large view. Great detail of the wall, house and landscape. I haven't been to the Lakes District since 1971! One day again if we ever get to travel again.

The curves made by the road and the long stone wall provide a beautiful composition of the photo.
In such an environment, the white building is visible from far and wide and has a certain attraction, the place where we want to go.

The changing weather is really very well shown in your photo, interesting light on the stone wall and the road and dark clouds in the BG, a very good photo of the atmosphere of coming rain
