Photographer's Note
The climbers on Blawith Common overlooking Coniston Water. I focused on the climbers, I was some way away from them, but wanted them to be focus of the shot leaving the background a bit out of focus. (if that makes sense!). It was quite a hazy day too, trying new techniques. Any comments/critiques are welcome.

Hi Jean,
Nice composition and nice colours but you're right it is a bit hazy and probably not really sharp enough either. I'd like to see the climbers and the rocks in the foreground really defined and detailed which in my opinion would bring this image alive. I think the dark frame was a good choice for this photo. All in all I like it, just a bit more sharpness, that's my main criticism.
Best regards,
Rich

Hi Jean,
Nice soft colours here which add to the atmosphere.
The red helmets are a good touch to reinforce the foreground.
I feel that if you cropped a little on the left side to bring the figures closer to the edge of the picture, [also it would get rid of that odd little unconnected bit of rope draped over the rock]; then added about one click of sharpness [PhotoFiltre]; it would help the overall composition and impact.
By the way, what PP do you use?
Regards, Peter.

Good superposition of views, with climbers and the river's view in background.
Usually an unfocus background is better for this kind of picture, but in this case the fog blur a bit it. I'm agree with one of the previous comment, to improve the sharp of the climbers with photoshop.
Nice regards,
Jean-Claude

Hi Jean!
I love the depth you have achieved here, with this picture, based on this different elements, and the inclusion of those human figures, enhances quite a lot the result of your image!
Thanks for your words about my last picture!
Cheers!

Nice shot Jean, love the English coutryside, it is always refreshing. Here the colors are nice and even the haze or mist in the distance works to enhance rather than rob from the subjects. Good capture.

Hello Jean
Re-visiting your gallery. I don't know why I missed this one before.I love the feeling of the rock rearing up against an almost two dimensional backdrop. The warm foreground colours and cooler colours beyond reinforce this. IMHO your focussing here is pretty good for the effect you intended.
Best Wishes Maggie
