Photographer's Note

This is the last one I will be posting of this series. Thanks for the kind comments for the previous one. With regard to that picture, despite the fact that the black man had the most powerful-looking muscles (I teach in a boys' prep school, and they are incredibly impressed), he lost that round.

This second one is actually my favourite picture of the series. No particular skill with the fill-in flash. Just ask the camera to work it out!

Someone commented that I'd been doing photography for some time. In fact my brother taught me to monochrome print in 1957, when I was five, in the cupboard under the stairs.

I had a go at the arm wrestling. I was amazed that the table wobbled from side to side, sometimes on two legs, and that they leant their body. I always thought that arm wrestling had to be done with just the arm. Apparently that is not so, and can cause injury. My opponent was a 15-year-old girl, and I lost very easily!

I intend to do a critique of some others this weekend - it must not all be one way.

It took a little investigation to find how the site works, and I am more and more impressed as I get into it.
