The row of the machines you can see is a working and commonly used train shedule information system.
It absolutely mechanic. You push the button with a desired destination and and the pieces of printed cartoon swilrl around inside the machie. Lovely.
The more fun I had observing some kiwi folks who couldn't have belived what they had just seen.

I love these machines, tey look as if they belonged to an old sci-fi movie. The picture is well caught with the man facing the machines as if puzzled. I'd love to see more pictures of these places...
