Photographer's Note
Flying above it all, no thinking, no talking - like a meditation ... just enjoying these breathtaking views.
We were moving on in our rented Piper towards Oberalp Pass. Summer was not yet over but the first snow had arrived, giving the mountain tops a white innocent look.

Hi, Barbara. Flying over the mountains at such an altitude must be pure delight. Here you give us an idea of what it must be like, seeing all these tops from above but at a reasonable altitude. You can still see details, which you show us very well here. the picture is very sharp and I like to see all those vertical snow lines going down. The contrast between the already snowy peaks and the mountain pastures works very well and the sight is splendid. Your point of view was unique, of course...

Wow, really fascinating. It's nice there's not that much snow so the residual snow adds contrast and makes the whole scene even more artistic. Thanks so much for sharing the whole series. Really. Wishes, Tom.

hello again :)
what a sight! it is indeed splendid :) the mountains look like pistachio cream topped with powder sugar. amazing textures, and I like a lot how you've framed the photo, the shapes of the mountains create a strong feeling of slow movement, it's a nice reminder that the Earth is constantly changing. excellent shot, I like it a lot.
have a great Friday,
Kristine
