Photographer's Note

The highest alpine waterfall (800 meters vertical drop, which makes it the third highest in the world) falls in three steps.

It has in average around a dozen visitors a day.

The upper section is completely dry most of the days. 25 mm (one inch) precipitation in one day will feed it for a few hours.

This perspective, where the lowest section is at the same height as where the waterfall begins, helps to explain why.
