Photographer's Note
There are many many well signposted hiking trails in the Swiss canton Ticino. This one runs in Valle di Mergoscia, a rather steep side valley of Vercasca valley in the hinterland of Locarno.
About one kilometre outside the village Mergoscia there are still very steep vineyards in an altitude of about 800 metres. Along their quarrystone walls - home for thousands of lizards (please see workshop photo) - runs a wonderful hiking trail and now and then one passes old and nearly archaic stables or barns with granite walls and granite roofs. The only sound up here is the chirr of the crickets ...

Bonjour Frank ,
Le Tessin est une région très particulière de la Suisse . Constructions en pierres , vignes , forêts : on se sent déjà très proche de l'Italie . J'aime beaucoup la composition de l'image . La lumière était un peu dure sur les pierres du premier plan .

wahrhaftig ein sehr einladender Weg und mit Sicherheit viele schöne Motive (wie die kleine Scheune) entlang des Weges..
schöne Aufnahme, sehr einladend..

This is nice lush scenery for this winter day! Your composition is nice using the path and stone wall to lead the eye through the shot. The stone barn adds a nice point of interest for the shot. The lighting and colors are fine as is the photo's sharpness.

Bonjour Frank,
Super belle prise de vue de ce beau coin de pays qu'est le Tessin. Il doit être agréable de se balader le long de ce sentier, qui m'a l'air sauvage.
Cela fait du bien de voir de la verdure, même si j'adore nos hivers Canadien.
Excellente journée, de Mt St Grégoire sous un beau soleil et un agréable -8* sans vent.

sehr gute Aufnahme dieses Wanderweges im schönen Tessin.Bei unserem nasskaltem Wetter tut dieses Bild wirklich gut und man wünscht sich endlich bessere sonnige Tage herbei.Könnte sich auch um eine AUfnahme aus Südtirol handeln ...
