Photographer's Note
Last Thursday I was in the same place and it was windy, grey and rainy. The next morning (here) the light was as if it had been cleaned.
After 2 years of renovations, the Château d'Ouchy was re-opened mid last year and just this week became a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Jeudi la semaine dernière j'étais au même endroit et il faisait gris, il pleuvait et c'était venteux. Le lendemain (ici) le ciel avait était nettoyé.
Après 2 années de renovations, l'hôtel Château d'Ouchy a été re-ouvert au milieu de l'année dernière. Juste cette semaine il est devenu membre des Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Les couleurs vives et bien saturées donnent un bel effet, avec ces deux bouées rouges au premier plan.

Je sais que tu aimes les couleurs très saturées, mais je trouve que là tu y vas un peu fort tout de même! J'aime assez le cadrage avec les deux bouées au premier plan.

Je comprends tout a fait ce qui t'attire la bas, c'est pas souvent qu'on peut profiter d'un si joli toit rouge, ca fait merveille contre le ciel bleu, une image tres sereine quasiment sans jaune :-)

Hello Nikki,
Sous ce ciel polarisé, les couleurs explosent. Tout nous attirent. Les points rouges formés par les bouées qui répondes à la toiture et les bâches des bateaux qui répondent au ciel. Belle utilisation du filtre polarisant.

Hello Nikki,
Looking at this, I admire the sunny weather while Melbourne is edging closer to the winter months, a series of rainy days ahead. The hotel does not look that small though.
Your CPL works really well to bring out the saturation of the blue sky, a great composition with everything well place, even the two buoys in the FG.

Fat bold colours, wonderful.
That hotel must coast a fortune spending the night. not my type of place to stay there, but it surly looks idyllic and fore the happy few the place to be. Looks a bit like lego land, because you put so much blue on top the building look less tall than they are probably are....an effect i like to see in here.

Very beautiful scene, and yes, a very lovely and beuatiful hotel, in such a nice setting. Well after a rainy day, when it clear up everything seem much cleaner and clearer looking, fantastic details and beautiful light and colors are rich in tone, and really good composition. So cheerful and bright.
