Photographer's Note

I am 34 years old and I cannot even make the difference between a frog and a toad. It is serious, doctor? Will somebody of certainly more cultivated than me in this field here on TE be able to perhaps fill my ignorance?

Yesterday, small ballade in the Forest of Finges on the edges of the ponds. What a surprise awaited me there!!! Already, before even entering in the forest, strange noises were easily perceptible. Fortunately, it was dawning and that enabled me to carry on my road without too much fear of what I was going to meet in this forest that I knew a few months ago and which had seemed to me until there rather "calme"... In short, I borrow the driving path from one of the ponds... The noises, which resembled long complaints rather strident were emplified with each one of my steps. That became about it dazing... I arrive close to the pond and there, hundreds of frogs (or clamping plates) awaited me! I believe to have understood that the period of reproduction is in hand... I thank (whom do I have to thank? God??...I really do not believe)... I thank nobody, but delights me that the human one is not as noisy as this animal... because the concert would be certainly 1000 times more like hell by certain Fridays evening ;-)

(I hope Alta Vista translation means... something!)

I posted a "better" (IMO) frog picture today on TL : http://www.treklens.com/gallery/Europe/Switzerland/photo1495.htm
