Photographer's Note

I took this picture during my last excursion in the Forest of Finges, at the end of the afternoon, whereas the sun was going gently to lie down behind the mountains.

«In the middle of a landscape of hills, in the heart of a pine forest (the Forest of Finges - Pfyndwald), suddenly a vast plate of meadows and orchards: Millieren. Here, traditional agriculture with its small pieces, its flowered meadows and its "bisses" supports the richness of fauna, the flora and the quality of the products. It is in June that this place should be visited where the sage disputes the place with the "esparcette". Perhaps one will see fleeing the "hupp"e or one will hear the call of the "torcol". Pay attention to the flight of the "half-mournings", "mélitées" and "argus" which visit the "centauries" and the "scabieuses" ones. Between hay and renewal, the glance will try to find the musicians of the summer: "locusts" and "grasshoppers". One will see then, the oedipodes with the red or blue wings to flee under our steps. Disturb neither the cattle, nor the farmyard, hold your dogs and respect the pasture.»
