It makes me glad to find Bern images . I lost my camera in Zurich with my pictures from Bern . It helps me refresh little flashes , those wires , tourisic pannels , difficult indications to find a youth hostel in the down part of the town , i think there was a little market by the place you ve portraited . Anyway a refreshing spot that contributes for me to remember how pleasant was to walk across those streets , flags , clock towers and such high prices .:s
Salut!

Hi Cessy, amazing and funny shot, with all that wires and the beautiful old clock on the facade.
excellent POV and quality.
this view, with all that cables and wires, is really common in the Milan city centre, with more than 200 kms of tramways!
thanks, ciao

Hi Cessy,
I like the wide angle here. The cyclist is coming at a strange angle, and the building ahead looks weird and fabulous.

Aaaah, Bern! Reminds me off my time when I was working half week in Basel and the other half week in Bern. I loved strolling through both cities and exploring their clear differences and the wires in Bern always irritated me. I had the feeling that it was ruining the pictures. You managed to take advantage of this. I personally prefer theo ther side of the clockhouse and so do all the tourists waiting for the full hour to take their pictures ;-)
Best Regards, Peter

I love the use of the wide angle here. I dont care the distortion of the lens. Also this photo with these wires remind me to India and some other places so different from Switzerland.

Hi Cessy. Good use of the ultra-wide angle to create this dizzying impression from old-town Bern - I remember the city as I was working there on a project for a couple of months in 1998. In addition to the good framing with the Zytgloggeturm as a main subject, I like your timing to have the two bicyclists and the pedestrians add a lively touch. Nice shot, greetings from Austria.

almost like an invasion, I like how you included the wires, I hate them but you have managed well here with the building behind it, well done

Hi Cessy,
Yep there is quite a number of them, while they are somewhat disturbing for buildings shots, they become interesting for tram photography, I should find time to do more of those tram photos, I have plenty of subjects here in Basel. I like in this one the fact the guy on the bycicle is distorted the same way as the building which without being intentionally tilted provides dynamism.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hello,
Une jolie toile d'araignée ! L'effet du grand angle est saissant ici ! La netteté n'est pas top mais j'aime bien la distorsion !
Bien vu.

Hi cessy
A dynamic composition with superb pov & sharpness. The cyclist leaning into the kerb is a good add. Tfs!

Hej Cessy,
Such wires can often be very irritating when they are in front of something you want to capture in a picture, but here you made well and in an interesting way use of them. The POV and composition are very good and I also like the daily life aspect of the bus and the cyclists that you captured here in these streets. Well done!

Lars

hi cessy,
normally the wires would disturb a photo, but you managed
perfectly and included them excellently in the photo.
terrific streetlife-composition with all that it needs -
bicycles, busses, pedestrians,...all combined through the
wonderful distortion of the wide-angle.
gtrat job & take care, thorsten.
