Hi Barbara,
I really miss snow. Can't get used to not having
it in England.
It must be great to be able to enjoy it the whole
winter in huge amounts?
Interesting compo here with two diagonals running
in opposite directions and wide palette of different
trees in the FG.

Another great winter landscape.
What I like the most in your picture is the lighting on the trees and the shadow on the background give us an excelllent contrast.

A very pretty scene, Barbara. The warm light on the middle-distance trees contrasts nicely against the cold blue of the hill in the distance. Perhaps it would have been good to include something in the closer foreground--a path leading into the scene, or a hanging branch, maybe. But I really like the mix of winter colors! Regards, Ken.

Hi Barbara,
The light is stunning here; it turns the clouds to gold, and it highlights the distinctive peaks and the trees frosted with snow. Togeter with the light and shadow play and the wonderful framing, the curving road, the small building, the ski runs looking almost like a trail map and the glowing peaks and sky supervising all. I do think this is my favorite TE winter shot this year. HLJ, Pat

Hallo Barbara. Eine malerische Winterlandschaft vom Neujahr 2006, in der sich das Bergmassiv majestätisch hinter dem verschneiten Wald im Vordergrund erhebt. Mir gefällt besonders die Art und Weise, in der das Sonnenlicht den klaren weißen Schnee im Vordergrund zur Geltung bringt. Schönes Foto.

Hi Barbara,

Early and low angled sunset beams are increases value of your beautiful photo. Snowy trees, forest in snow at ridge and particularly shaped mountain hills are giving gorgeous view with afternoon light plays. Lovely hut and snowy path is invites us to there because we missed winter which is not available here only tropical and rainy summer all year. Congratulations.

Barbara, this is a very nice inviting view, the colors are of course winter cold but are not uninviting. The snow on the trees in beautiful and mountain is awesome. Great capture.

Hello Barbara,
An outstanding landscape and an outstanding capture by an excellent photographer. Your Swiss scenery is outstanding and Switzerland is the favorite country that many American travelers I know have toured. I especially like the contrast between the warm tones on the trees and the cool blues of the distant peaks. The clouds are especially beautiful. Gorgeous photography!

I was once in Switzerland in Late April, it was still so cold and it snow a couple of times in Daggersheim. We went for a walk in the forest and it looks kind of like this without the mountain except in the distant we can see the Santis.
This sure is beautiful like a Christmas card, but by now your probably had it with the cold and ready for spring. Spring is already here in california. My trees started to flowers, it's crazy. I will take a picture of them and post a workshop for you later.
