Photographer's Note

This photo was taken some days ago when the fog on our little Airport had just lifted. After some engine problems (the mechanic took a hammer and banged on the engine ... I speak the truth) "my pilot" could take off on our little grass strip at Speck-Fehraltorf, just outside of Zurich. Zurich International Airport (a 20 minute drive by car) had 300 m sight, densely fogged in. What we saw was absolutely breath-taking: The lowlands with layers and layers of fog, but the higher we came the clearer the view and the more you felt like touching the Alps ... so so beautiful and truly a great moment in my life.

This picture was taken later in the day, after 3 p.m., so the light became low considering that it was mid December and therefore the days short.

The mountain you can see is Saentis, the highest peak in this area, approx. 2502 meters.

So this is my pre-christmas photo ...
