Photographer's Note
Slowly moving over the mountain tops in a Katana DA20-A1 on a lovely lovely winter morning. The mountain chain is called "Churfirsten" and is rather famous for its shape. As the picture is taken out of an airplane, some of you - who know the area - may not recognize it from this angle. The area is a hiking and skiing area not far from Zurich (approx. 1 1/2 hours by car).
PS. I always liked this photo but it was "noisy" and not quite sharp. So I did Neat Image for blowing away the noise, sharpened it and gave it a frame to make it friendlier (in my view anyway). I am not very patient to be honest with you so this is somehow a thing for me to sit down and work on something without throwing it away ... that's me.

Beautiful image and fascinating landscape. Colours and loneliness of high mountains, together with the "icy" blue colour create a particular atmosphere.

Hello Barbara,
The angle of lighting does a lot of good for this image, adding life and structure to the mountain scenery!
It is a well framed scenery, good colours and details...
This is well done for photographing through an aircraft window!

belivied it or not,i never saw snow in my whole life or even touch it.i live here in florida for many years now and i never even venture out of this slow state of florida.i like this shoot alot make me want to just dive in the covered mountain and make angels in the snow.
