Photographer's Note
I liked the naked rocks against the snow covered mountain tops when we moved towards Oberalppass on this early September day. Not quite fall and not summer either. Again, as in my perivous posts, we were moving on in a little airplane, all somehow lost up here between all the rocks but truly impessive and maybe a little scary too.

Hi Barbara,
This mixture of grey, white and brown looks almost as a piece of the abstract art, and shows us the power of nature.
And I agree with you it appears a bit scary, too, as it reminds us of how little we are.

Serwus Barbara !
Tight framing here, but the essence is in the image. Exciting imagination, wonderful summits.

Hi Barbara,
This is my first visit to your site. I read your introduction with great interest and I must say you have a wonderful arrangement. This photo seems a very good example of you're being able to show us places and viewpoints that most of us will never see.
Your framing is superb and your excellent light management gives lovely detail and color.

Well done. This is a wonderful landscape, and from a very unique angle. The rest of us who shoot out of commercial aircraft windows have to do serious color correction. But I get the feeling there wasn't much correction necessary. Thanks for sharing your advantures!

Hello Barbara,
A very nice mountain pic. Many assets here. I particularly like the two colors, starting from a beige and getting to all kinds of blue tones and ultimately the white snow.
Mountains are always impressive, and it's difficult to understand how they soar so high ! A big smile - Izzet

After hiking through most of the swiss alps it is interesting to have the birds view. The contrast between the exposed, naked rock against the white an dpure snow is beautiful. Specially the ondulation of the rock is phantastic.
Have good flights, Baba.

Without reading the note, I would have put this image into the Himalayas or some other remote giant mountain range. Amazing how you've captured this without including any trace of civilisation. I like the colours and clarity.

Grussi Barbara,
I think I should try to get use to this kind of image and especially the cold. I will be going to the mountain are of Agentina in a month. Thought it's their spring time, but it still suppose to be really cold and windy, I read what they suggest us to bring for clothes, that scares me. But I think I will survived to talk about it later.
Anyway what a view here, I feel like a bird looking down on this mountain. So much details and so cold, Maybe not that bad. You must be busy, no new post.
