Photographer's Note
Again Guarda, the little charming mountain village in the south east corner of Switzerland on this lovely afternoon last fall. Pleasant temperatures for a little walk and some photo "stops" as shown here.
Guarda is in the lower Engadin. In this part of Switzerland (Graubuenden) a few thousand people speak Rumantsch (kind of a latin), our fourth offical languague together with German, Italian + French.

Charming one :) but I need a little more of the window, rather than the empty wall on the left...
Thx,
Ozaydin.

This is a nice picture!
i like the compo and the colors.
may be you should try to crop it a bit on both left and right sides (i think they capture too much the attention, instead of the background...which is really intersting)
thank you

Hi Barbara,
A nice composition and an amazing effect with the clouds in the background. I agree with the other comments that some cropping would improve the focus on the background - I think the window adds interest to the foregound, so just a crop to the left. The colours and the luminosity are good.
Well spotted.

Maybe, Barbara, you should have the camera a little more to the right for a total window and a smaller piece of the wall in the left, but.... this one is original, a nice view between the walls, I like the details and the landscape we can see !

Beautiful pic, although, the gray wall to the left is too powerful in its nothingness.

aha ... I like the way you increase the curiosity of the viewers by just giving a small taste of what lies after the walls ... not a very conventional but good composition

This is my favorite picture by you. It looks almost like a surrealistic painting of sorts; the crop really adds an unexpected effect. Perhaps it could use some sharpening and a color filter to block some of the blue.
Anyway, I really appreciate the comments. I tried replying but maybe you didn't recieve it somehow. The pictures I take aren't of my backyard, unfortunately. There's just a lot of land close by my house that I walk to and take all of my desert-looking pictures.
Anyway, happy picture-taking. :)

Intriguing composition. I like how we get to peek through these imposing and solid walls at the scene beyond. Bold move, Barbara, but I think it works.

Wow!
I could not resist looking around the corner, so I chose this shot. Beautiful view and you managed to create interest from the viewer - obviously!
Thanks,

Hi Barbara,
Excellent POV that gives us a wonderous peek over this lovely traditional garden gate towards the vivid blue sky and pretty autumn colors. The framing here is especially effective.

This is an excellent image on many levels. The framing of the gate, the path to the clouds, and the contrast of colors make this a great shot.
Cheers!
