Photographer's Note
Guarda (1650 meters amsl) is a small and charming mountain village in Graubuenden respectively in the Engadin (south east Switzerland). Last fall we made a little trip by car ending up in this beautiful spot. It was a quiet and sunny afternoon and there was a silence in the air you only get in fall.
Guarda has once inspired Alois Carigiet for his "Schellen Ursli" ... a children's book which most of the Swiss have in their book shelves. You can not blame him for taking this village as inspiration. It also inspried us taking some pictures.

Hi Barbara, great shot of this charming place!
Several years ago I passed a summer week in this beautiful place as a base for hiking tours. It is really a lovely village and you render very well the atmosphere. Thanks for sharing and reminding me a past vacation!

This is a classic, and wonderful, Alpine village!
the point of view is really beautiful and the low clouds between the mounts are well captured.
thanks also for the note!

Hi Barbara
Very impressive clouds around the mountains! The shot looks slightly tilted to me, but nonetheless it is a lovely village scene.

A beautiful village, also with a nice background, these huge mountains and the clouds.
Maybe some more sharpness, but a good shot, Barbara !

Bonjour Barbara,
Compliments.

A well composed picture of this pretty town. The road leads the eye through the buildings towards the church and the fence frames the image while curving round to the white house on the left. An interesting backdrop too - I love the way the clouds are rolling down the mountains.

Hi Barbara- a charming alpine village in front of a spectacular stormy sky, the combination of sunlight and dark clouds works very well here.

You found a very good point to capture view of this vilalge. We can see almost everything in a well structured progression from foreground to background. So, first of all, we see interesting houses. Then, you got beautiful colours and interesting clouds in background.

Hi Barbara,
Magical little village seen here in warm and relaxing colors with the dramatic fog lifting from the jagged peaks. This charming place is an inspiration indeed.

Do you speak Rumantsch?
