Photographer's Note
A nice summer evening in Blattnicksele in the south of Lappland.
Judging by the look of buildings Blattnicksele once was a commercial center by the standards of this region. Today only the fashion shop Viola´s and a grocery store remain. All credit to those shopkeepers who make such an effort to keep their stores open so that the rest of us can get the things we need out there.
The brushed texture of the facade is typical for Swedish buildings of this size and age. It is meant to look like a "stone house" but it is really just a thin layer of cement plaster on a timber wall.

Hi Ebbe,
Taken from a discrete distance, but that distance brought you also a very nice composition with the road in front which leads us to that house that is lying in the sun and puts a worm glow over the image.
A lot of vertical lines in this photo, but a very dominating horizontal line which lies int he sun over the road is making this image very pleasant to look at...very good work, i like that light a lot..!!!

Hi Ebbe,
Nice contrast between warm evening light and cold and
blue shadowed area.
Interesting house - I would say it was a residential one,
but no - there's a shop on the ground floor! The surroundings
doesn't seem to be of a populated area, no?
Cheers,
Robi
