Photographer's Note
This is at the middle lake of Marvikarna,
you can notice the backpacks that's filled of changing cloths in plastic bags in case the ice breaks and you get in the water you floating on the backpack and after you need warm dry cloth.
Tour skating on ice (in Swedish "långfärdsskridskoåkning") is now a popular sport in Sweden. Maybe the best conditions in the world are those found around Stockholm with a considerable number of both large and small lakes plus the extensive nearby archipelago in the Baltic Sea. The smallest lakes may freeze normally in November, although the main season usually starts in December and lasts until March or April. Snow is not a major problem in this part of Sweden because in cold periods there are often areas of unfrozen water that can still freeze, and in mild periods the snow melts down to slush in the daytime and freezes to ice during the night.
The Baltic around Stockholm does not freeze every year, but when it does skating there is a very special experience. The lakes also offer outstanding conditions for great tours. On the large Lake Mälaren it is very popular to skate between the many towns situated along the shores and experienced skaters may skate 100 kilometers or more in a day. Most medium-sized and small lakes are located in very beautiful forest landscapes, giving skating there a special character.

Hej Anders,
All right... without the title I'd say they are walking on water, the ice is totally amazing!
Couldn't wish for better conditions for skating, could they...
The icefall makes a great backdrop and the dots of red adds life!

Hej Anders,
Amazingly clear ice, it really looks like a mirror, almost unnatural. The skaters in the bright colours certainly catch the eyes. Maybe a vertical composition, and getting a bit closer, might have been an interesting alternative.

What a great idea & one I've never heard of before, despite being involved in the outdoors for years.
The photo is excellent with amazing reflections and good colours, ice on lakes in Scotland is seldom this clear and flat. It does look as though you are skating on water.

Hej igen!

Hej Anders,
Fantastic ice, I can´t recall seeing anything like this, I hope it is thick enough for the people standing there. They seem well equipped with all necessary life saving things you certainly need here.

Hej Anders,
wow ! what a cool photo. It looks almost unreal, guess it can not be better than this..? it would be really fun to try this sometime, although I am a little afraid of thin ice.
Wonderful reflections and colours.

WOW! - I think that it could be the most proper comment for your picture! :) I like tones and POV, the situation being shown is amazing - especially the mirror-like surface of ice. Jag älskar den!
