Photographer's Note
This one is among my personal favs.
The red boat is situated on a the shore of a lake in Lappland - often labeled 'Europe's last wilderness'.
The light in the background called for an equally vivid foreground. So, I was pleased to discover this red boat. I had to lie on my back to get an angle such that the boat broke through the horizon. Used a fill-flash to make the red colour stand out.

You may say 'divine light' & i might disagree.....but i don't!, you are right to be proud of this shot.
The angles of the boats structure, the colour & the rays of light..wow.

Beautiful photo, very well composed and a creative POV. Nice sky where the shafts of sunlight almost work like a curtain to the mountains behind. They seem to have more light then the ones in front. Well done.

Hello Mikkel,
Apart from overexposed areas in the sky and some undersexposure in shadowed areas, I can't find any other flaws in this fine composition.
It was a good idea to use fill-flash for the purpose you stated in your note and position yourself as low on the ground as possible to achieve a good shooting angle.
One tip, if I may:
- shooting in RAW format gives you opportunity to better tweak exposure later in an editor.

Hi Mikkel, very nice shot. I like the use of fill flash here to bring out the colours, although you could have maybe dialed it down a touch to make it appear a little more natural. However, that's a minor point in a beautiful, well composed shot.

I can´t resist to this beautiful photo from your nice gallery! The red is blowing out the picture, enhanced by that wonderful "divine" lights on background! You´d used the flash very well to call the hot red from the boat! Great work!

Hi Mikkel - I can see why this is one of your favourites, because when I saw the thumbnail I immediately wanted to open it, the boat enhances the already divine landscape, using flash was a clever idea.
