Photographer's Note

Since the Stockholm district of Södermalm is an island, views of water easily slip into photos taken here. My last photos were taken on the southwestern shore, overlooking lake Mälaren. Today's two photos are from the northeastern side facing the Baltic Sea.

The main photo shows a few persons relaxing in the sun on a small jetty where the sightseeing boat had offloaded a cargo of tourists a few minutes earlier and possibly taken on some others.

Across the water to the left is Gamla stan (Old Town), followed by a glimpse of central Stockholm and to the right the museum island of Skeppsholmen.

Behind my back was the private museum of photography (Fotografiska), located in a former customs house. I guess most TE members who have visited Stockholm have seen it. At least I know Kasia and Malgo did.

The WS photo was taken three minutes earlier.

Click Map: view to find this place. The Google view is 11 years old and the jetty was obviously not yet built.
