Boats in Stockholm - a popular theme. I came to Stockholm with this ferry in June 2019.
Then I read ...On the evening of 6 November 2019 SPL Princess Anastasia ran aground outside Lidingö in Stockholm en route to Helsinki, after suffering a black-out on the ship's electricity, that resulted in lost of propulsion and drifting. The vessel was carrying a total of 1065 passengers. No injuries were reported.The Swedish Transportation Agency believed the black-out to have been caused by a mixture of Russian and Swedish diesel oil creating a blockage
The Swedish Coast Guard dispatched rescue teams to the scene and a tugboat to tow the ship back to Port Stockholm for hull inspections. was en-route from Stockholm to Saint Petersburg (via Helsinki).

SPL Princess Anastasia is a cruiseferry owned by SPL Princess Anastasia Ltd since 2017. The vessel was built in 1986 as Olympia at the Wärtsilä Perno Shipyard in Turku, Finland for Rederi AB Slite, Sweden for use in Viking Line traffic.

This looks like a floating big house with a large piece of graffiti on the side. It's nice to see it in the urban environment. After the disaster of the Estonia ferry in 1994 all accidents on the sea are scary.

This is like journalistic reporting!
Here we see the massive, colourful ferry, that you had experienced and then we read the report of the same ferry coming to grief just a few months later!!
It must have been extremely scary being on this boat when it was drifting in the sea.

A nice view of this very colourful ferry with some great art on its side. I like the sunlight and the dark blue sky a lot as well and the green branches make a good foreground, covering the grey quays nicely.

Nazwa statku i linii, do której należy, wskazują, że ten statek pływa do Petersburga. Fajnie pomalowany i wygląda atrakcyjnie, ale ponad 1000 pasażerów to za duzo (a zabiera 2500). I ten cały tłum idzie na zwiedzanie? Tu nic sie nie stało. Natomiast samolot, którym wracałam z Iranu do Kijowa (w każdym razie to samo połączenie) tydzień później został zestrzelony.
