Photographer's Note
I just came back from my Scandinavian trip...
The highlight of my trip was my very first "TE meeting"... I met Jeppe in Denmark and we went out shooting together. I also had some portraits of him and his family whic I will post in TL this week. Anyway, thanks Jeppe for showing me the only sunset I enjoyed in my trip.
ANYWAY...this picture was taken at a square in Stockholm, Sweden. I stood there and waited for a special moment. Then he came running in. The father ran after him. A special moment...
I will catch up with my critiques later.

Amazing lines and pattern you captured in this photo! I like how the father and son look like shadows, as well.

Very nice, Manuel, very much in the style of Kertesz. I like the dynamic diagonals, instead of having the triangle edges be horizontal.

When I saw your name and Sweden as a country above the thumbnail, I thought there was a mistake somewhere. Nice contrast allowing the triangles to pop up and create a very geometrical composition. It becomes indeed a special moment with the presence of the father with his son. Their shadows are a must.

great! These graffic patterns are really attractive, and the shadows of the figures are simply fantastic. It makes me feel a little like in a futuristic vision of the world, a sience-fiction comic strip whose characters are lost somewhere strange, the child holding on to the father figure who may be just as vulnerable in this reality as the kid...

Welcome back, Manny, I'm glad to read you seem to have had an enjoyable visit to Europe. This is a superb graphical image in which the shadows of the boy and his dad against the triangular pattern of the pavement really make the composition sing. The overexposed areas work well as an artistic device. I like it.

Terrific shot! The floor pattern is great for photos. Your waiting for the father and son to get to the white area pays off. Strange that there is nobody around.

Wonderful. It looks like a drawing. No it's another excellent art visualised by you Manuel. It's worth to wait for the moment like this. The man and his kid (maybe) and their shadow plus with the group of triangles floor, give me the wonderful feeling. Keep up your great work.

Welcome back Manuel - Glad we had the chance to meet and I must admit we was lucky - the sunset I "gave" you was "the only one" in a month.
You spotted this quite famous square motif excellent and professional - Its called "Sergels Torg" (Sergel´s square) and Ebbe also posted photos from this place.
I like the strong contrast in the image and the mix of shadows and people - together with the graphics.

Hola Manuel,
This is the most photographed place in Sockholm, Sergels Torg (Sergel's Square). This motives attracted so many photographers, and you did a really great job here !!
I must say I checked the date, as those days, the weather was always cloudy and rainy, so I'm surprised you got that sun !! Lucky you !
I like that strong light. You used the patterns really good. I tryed several times to get something there, but never managed to have a beautiful shot. I must continue trying :o)
Looking forward for your next pictures of Sweden & Scandinavia !
Regards,
Youssef.

Hi Manny
What a fantastic shot. I love the graphic feel with the black and white triangles and the long shadows from the father and sun are perfect. I like your high contrast post processing as well it alladds to the graphic feel.
Very nice work.

Very nice graphical picture. The hard contrast (overexposed parts and very black human silhouettes and shadows) is great. The photo creates a strong feeling of emptiness, as if the two persons are trying to find their way out of a labyrinth.
