Photographer's Note

This is a shot at the Barsebäck Golf & Country Club - regarded as one the most beautiful and best golf facilities in Europe, according to Jack Niclaus himself.

This club hosted The Solheim Cup 2003 and this is where the Scandinavian Masters by Carlsberg will be settled at the end of July and beginning of August this year.

Golf is the fastest growing "folk sport" in Sweden - there are 425 different golf courses and 59 of them are situated within Scania. There's an estimate that around half a million people play golf on a regular basis (i.e. are members of a golf club).

These three gentlemen are competing at the green of the 10th hole - a pure seaside hole, on the other side of the road and along Öresund - which on a clear day offers a nice view of Copenhagen across the water. But today it's rather misty and showers in the air.

Golf is, as far as I know, the only sport which has named an umbrella. We never hear about soccer umbrellas or icehockey umbrellas, not even tennis umbrellas - but there are golf umbrellas... ;o)

No, I don't play golf myself!!
