Photographer's Note
One of my favourite filmmakers is Aki Kaurismaki and among his films there are one, The man without a past that tells the story of a people who lives in containers like these of the photo, so somehow this could be a tribute to this director, but I know for certain he do not like tributes, he rather prefer to stay in a pub drinking. I remember one interview with him at the San Sebastian Film Festival, I asked him about his next project and he answered: "Dont know, probably to commited suicide". I think he really mean it.
Take care all of you.

Instant hit....................Miguel. The repetition of the colourful containers from a height charms the eyes...but what I like in this compositio is the much needed perspective...which is daigonal in nature.
Quality stuff,

Hola Miguel:

saludos.

They look like colored coffins to me. Aethetically pleasing. They give me a headache :-)

Miguel: now, THIS IS A SHOT - (sorry to shout) - what an eye you pulled out for this one. Fine stuff - geometric, symmetrical, replicative, colorful, abstract - it's all here! c

Hola Miguel:

Now that's a bleak quote of Kaurismaki Miguel, and it alters the conceptual stage for this pics significantly. Very graphic, dynamic and yes, evocative.
Take care,

I do like that. I do find that hypnotic and crazy... Endless, heady...
A great modern and inhuman abstraction.

Hola Miguel,

Jordi

The choice...
To drink yet another glass of beer or to commit suicide...?
Hmmmm...?
Let me think for a moment...
Both choices seems to be quite rational and equally tempting...
Hmmm...?
I think I'd go for a beer, just in case that they don't have my kind of it 'up there'... You know...???
I know they have all the possible brands 'down there' ... You know...?
:-)))
.............
Incredible place, Miquel...
It is only when you see them all together - you can't help yourself but ask: Where the bloody hell we, the human race - where we are going ????
In the philosophical mood - george

once upon a time I was a chemical trader and we could not get back most of our containers from certain parts of africa..
now, some environmentalist friends placed one nearby a mountain road to serve as the guest house for volunteers..it really makes a nice small house...easy to heat, east to light with a small wind generator...
hugs from a noisy busy istanbul street, just woke up from a siesta :)...

The key here I think is the PoV. I've tried this kind of shot many times in many places, but never got as satisfactory result as this.

Hi Miguel,
Quite special shot, at least for me. I've always liked repeating patterns and transport is in my interest too. And I also like Kaurismäki movies. He's a special character and I can imagine meeting him being hard to forget.
This is from Montjuic? I was up there in January, but I had wrong lens there and direction of light wasn't favourable either. So I'm glad to see this successful shot.

Hola! cuanto tiempo!

Hi Miguel,
My first thought was "reminds me of my box of legos from when I was a kid.
It's not the type of photo that would usually interest me, but this one has an edge. The angle is nice and the RGB colors really strike me. It could also look like a TV screen when looked at with a magnifier ;-)
