Interrupting the Brazil adventures for a few days to bring you some scenes from the celebration of Sant Jordi. Every April 23rd, Catalans celebrate their patron saint. According to custom, a woman gives her man a book and the man gives his woman a red rose. Today, books and roses may come from either gender. In any case, spring is in the air and love of literature is mixing with just plain love.

This was taken two years ago at one of the many book fairs in the city. This one was on Rambla Catalunya near Diagonal.
